For those of you who know me personally, or read/glance at my journals, know that I have a friend who's fighting over in Iraq. I got some wonderful news not too long ago, well just last week, hes coming home in two weeks!!

Well hes heading back to base in GA then after a debriefing he can come home.
Things have been going so wonderfully. My friends mother (Whom I'm on a first name basis with at her insistence) asked if I wouldn't mind coming over and help decorate for his welcome home party that shes throwing strictly for family...and I'm invited! She considers me family ^_^

So like I said everything is going so wonderful then BOOM! I get an off line message from a friend of mine on my yahoo saying she didn't like the comment that my friends soon to be ex-wife left on his page.
(All of this is taking place on myspace just for your FYI)

"Kyle I hope you write me I have heard that you got hurt or died but idk please write me even if you tell me to go away."

My response to this was 0.o'
Im not the least bit worried about my friend...at least I wasn't until my father opened his mouth. I was talking to my mother about Catherine's (Soon to be ex) latest stunt (The comment) and my father happened to be in the room (Big mistake on my part).

Me: I'm not the least bit worried. I mean they wouldn't just send him out on a mission just days before he goes home.
Father: If your stupid and naive enough to believe that. When I was in the Marines they sent me on a mission two days before I went home. They told me that I would most likely not come back alive. For all you know he could be laying in the dessert somewhere dead.
~Tears fill my eyes as I turn and leave the room~

But what my dad doesn't get is that the Army called my friends mom to tell her that he was coming home not the soon to be ex wife. Shes too busy jumping from one army base to another leaving a trail of misery and drama in her wake. Not even her own family knows where she is so I know the Army wouldn't of called and told her that. Shes just stirring up trouble because shes one of those sick people who thrives on it.

Sorry for the long journal I just needed to get it off my chest.
In short....I'm scared...
I know I shouldn't be but the anxiety is getting to me now that comment made me feel rather ill.
I just have to remember deep breaths and remember only 9 more days to go.
